The 11" x 8.5" book is a hard cover, linen cloth bound, 328 page publication. It includes 280 new color photographs, 35 black and white historical photos, as well as drawings of the plan of many of the missions.

This work includes 13 sector maps of the peninsula and important sites. The bibliography lists many of the most important writings on the peninsular missions.

Las Misiones Antiguas is a detailed and beautifully illustrated history of this fascinating part of California history and was published with the aid of a grant from the California Mission Studies Association.
